The Summer Months

The summer has been flying by. Kathryn is now 20 months old. We've been busy with weekly music classes and gym classes, family, friends, and church activities.

Kathryn has been going through a lot of changes and is growing up just too fast! We are really enjoying all the new words and things she does each week.

At the beginning of the summer, we made a trip to Atlanta to say good-bye to our dear friends Cheryl, Mike, Aaron, Ben, and Isaac. Mike got a job offer just outside Indianapolis. We will miss visiting them as often as we did while they were in Atlanta, but we are happy they will be closer to both their families now.

One of Kathryn's favorite things to do is talk to Nana, Poppy, and Gram-Gram on the telephone. We were thankful to have them come for a visit at the beginning of the summer and then Nana was able to come by herself for a long weekend last month. When they come to visit, Kathryn loves to wake up and go knock on their door and climb in bed with them to read. Usually for the next day or two after they have left, she still goes and knocks on the guest room door and says, "Nana?"
