Another Big Weekend!

What a difference a day makes...yesterday I had to wear my stocking cap under this hat to keep me warm and today it was almost 90 degrees! After eating breakfast at IHOP with GG, we went to the Prater's Mill Country Fair. It was fun. I saw lots of people and animals. We looked at crafts, ate different foods, and walked a lot! This is also the place where our kitty cats were found after they had been abandoned. They had another cat up for adoption today that looked like one of our our kitty cat's (much younger) brother!

This is just like the tractor that my great-grandpa had. When Mommy was little, she would sit on his lap, and he would let her drive. It was one of her favorite things to do with him when she was little.

Look at me driving the tractor! It's a smaller version of Great-Grandpa's...there will be no John Deer green in this family...it's Farmall all the way baby...

We are in the midst of a fairly serious drought right now, and by the end of the day we were covered in a layer of dust...particularly our car...Mommy put me into the bathtub as soon as we got home! I think our car needs a bath now too!

This weekend was our church's annual retreat, so we spent Sabbath out at Fort Mountain State Park. We had a nice time worshiping, eating, and hiking. It was actually quite cool, especially in the morning...we were all bundled up during church...then it warmed up a little in the afternoon. I wore my stocking cap under my cowgirl hat to help keep me warm.

After lunch, we took a leisurely walk around the lake...and I drifted off to dreamland...

Autumn Adventures

It has been another exciting week for me since I last posted an update. I am 10 months old now and have started crawling! Mommy says I crawl like a turtle, but I'll be breaking speed records before they know it. I also have gotten pretty coordinated at feeding myself cheerios too. My favorite thing to do now when I wake up in the morning (or from my nap) is to stand up in my crib. I had been pulling myself up from a sitting position, but now I manage to get myself standing up in there from lying down! Mommy was so surprised when I greeted her this morning as I was standing in my crib with my sleep sack on and everything!

Some of the games I like to play right now are putting blocks inside the neck of my giraffe toy and watching them fall down the chute. I also like to pass things back and forth to Mommy or Daddy. I haven't officially said any complete words yet - I do say dadada and mamama - but I sometimes make sounds that almost sound like "thank you, I love you, kitty cat, and hi".

Fall is already here, but it doesn't really feel like it yet. We've been having temps in the high 80s. But Mommy and Daddy have been taking me to do some fall activities so we can get in the mood for fall. One of the things we did was visit a huge corn maze in Cleveland, TN with our friends Jeff and Melissa. It was a lot of fun and I got to go on a hayride there too!

Last week ,we met Aunt Cheryl, the boys, and one of their friends along with Samantha and her Mommy at an apple orchard in Ellijay, GA. It was fun. They had a big petting farm area with puppies, baby chicks, goats, baby cows, hens, bunnies, and a cat. The goats were a little "too friendly" though...they liked to nibble on everything! We had a picnic lunch and played on their playground too. Then we brought home lots of apples and apple treats.
